Grange Primary School have embarked on an exciting new project to upgrade and relocate our school library. The library will be moved into a bigger space centrally within the school which will enable the school to keep a wider range of fiction and non-fiction books for our children as well as having space for a whole class to visit the library. We also plan to open the library up to parents and carers after school to enable them to visit the library with their children to choose books or have a quiet place to read with their child.
The project will involve raising funds for the purchase of new books for the library as well as book cases and suitable seating. The first stage of the project involves preparing the new library space. The walls are to be painted and new flooring will be put down. Whilst we await the completion of these activities we are sorting through the books in the current library, removing the older much loved books, and raising funds for the purchase of new books to replace and enhance the amount of books and the choice of books that we can offer. We aim to complete the first phase before the Easter holidays and move into our new library space then.
If you are able to help the school in any way with this project please contact the school office in the first instance.
More information will be placed on our New Library Project page which is under the "Children" signpost then Gallery.
