Welcome to our Governors’ section.
Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
Governors are drawn from the teaching staff, parents and the local community.
Our governors work closely with the Headteacher and teaching staff and are fully involved in the life of the school. In addition to this, governors are involved in working parties and regularly visit the school, either to help in classrooms or to monitor aspects of school life.
Governors have opted to have nominated roles to carry out their duties rather than meet as committees, therefore decision making and reporting is carried out at Full Governing Body meetings, which happen on a half termly basis. The Chair of the Governing Body is Dawn Carman-Jones and the Vice Chair is Dr Kirsty Kirk.
Grange Community Primary School is in transition to academy status within the Orwell Multi-Academy Trust. At the point of conversion, the governance structure, roles and responsibilities will change in line with the Scheme of Delegation determined by the Trust. Further details of the Scheme of Delegation can be found on the Trust website.
The Governors can be contacted via the School Office.
